premier driving course terms and conditions

Please read these terms of service carefully because they are the rules under which we provide our premier driving course service.

Once you are satisfied and you agree to abide by the terms of service you will be asked to sign a copy by your driving instructor or the driving school. Once your payment has been received and the course booked we will send you a copy for your records.

Important Notice: Elite Driving instructors are self-employed professionals and own a franchise with Elite driving school. Elite driving school act as a booking office for its franchised instructors, so by signing these terms and conditions you are agreeing to pay an Elite Franchised instructor for their service.

Elite franchised instructors are licenced by the DVSA (Driving Vehicle & Standards Agency) to instruct, and therefore have to satisfy the DVSA that they are a fit and proper person to give instruction by undergoing regular standards checks with a DVSA senior examiner.

Terms and conditions of the service provided by Elite Driving School and Elite Franchised Instructors

1.    You will be asked to take an assessment lesson before a premier driving course can be booked. Assessment lessons will be a minimum of two to three-hours so that an instructor can assess your ability. Courses booked without an assessment lesson are at the discretion of the driving school staff and it’s franchised instructors.

2.    Payments for a driving course must be paid fully in advance before a driving test can be booked and the course hours booked out of an instructor’s diary.

3.    Driving tests are booked with the DVSA by the driving school on your behalf. The agreement for the test booking is between you the customer and the DVSA (Driving Vehicle & Standards Agency) and you must abide by their terms of service. It is your responsibility to check the email address and phone number you have nominated for the DVSA to contact you on should any alterations to your test booking be made by the DVSA. Please notify the driving school or your driving instructor of any changes to your driving test booking within 24 hours.

3.1: Elite driving School or it’s driving instructors are not responsible for changes or cancellations to your driving test made by the DVSA. If changes occur, your agreement with Elite driving school for any pre-paid lessons/course hours booked out of an instructor’s diary will still continue as scheduled, unless an alternative arrangement can be agreed by the driving school or its instructors. Please note we will not refund or credit any pre-paid hours if the DVSA cancel your test at short notice, unless we can sell those pre-paid hours to someone else.

4.    Your Elite driving instructor reserves the right to withhold the driving school car for a practical test if in their opinion the chances of passing the test are unrealistic, or if you pose a danger to yourself, the driving examiner or any other road users.

4.1      It is your responsibility to bring the correct documents as required by the DVSA with you on the day of your driving test.

4.2      In the event of the driving school car being unavailable on the day of the practical test for reasons of illness on your instructor’s part, or for reasons of mechanical failure, your instructor will refund test fees incurred by you in full plus the pre-test hours.

4.3      Please note that in the event you or your instructor needs to change your test date or cancel your driving test 3 clear working days’ notice must be given to the DVSA, failure to do so will result in the loss of your fee.

4.4      Should your driving test be cancelled by the driving school any fees returned to the driving school by the DVSA will be credited back to you or used against lesson credits.

5.   Termination of lessons or courses

If you wish to cancel a pre-paid driving course you must give 7 days working notice to Elite driving school, who will then issue a full refund for any unused course hours and if applicable driving test fees, less a £25 administration fee.

5.2: Courses cancelled after commencement will be subject to our seven-day termination fee, which means all lessons for the seven days after termination will be charged in full to a maximum of £260, the remainder of any unused pre-paid course hours will be recalculated refunded according to these terms and conditions.
