Our 5 tips to make learning a success
1) Take regular weekly lessons: Our advice is stick to the same day and time each week, because it will help you to be more prepared for each lesson. Remember school, it was same lesson at the same time each week.
2) Make your ideal lesson duration 90 minutes. It's long enough time in the car for practical practice, without causing fatigue. Tiredness isn't helpful for information retention.
3) Take two to Three sessions each week. Frequent lessons without big gaps will help you accelerate towards your goal, and you'll need fewer hours in the bargain.
4) Study learning material between lessons to help you prepare for new lessons, and also help retain the information learnt in previous lessons
5) Be more active in lessons, ask question and be more responsible for making decisions. The more you understand the quicker you'll become a safe driver.

I just wanted to say a massive thank you to Stu, you and the rest of the team for all your support. Right from day one you checked in on me making sure I was happy with everything and giving me such confidence.
I would like to say the biggest thank you to Stu for been such a fantastic instructor. Right from day one he made me feel at ease and throughout each lesson he incorporated everything and answered all my questions, breaking everything down and making sure I understood everything. He gave me the confidence, knowledge and experience to pass my test today. I truly appreciate everything he has done in such a short space of time. Future students will be lucky to have stu teaching them, as he is so calming and understanding and teaches to a very high standard. Mark was very patient and calm instructor and he would always explain every mistake in detail to help me understand why you went wrong and why it's important to improve the specific mistakes. I think that really helped me understand, especially with me being a nervous driver and sometimes driving too slow. I didn't really know what was wrong with driving too slow, I thought I was being extra safe. He also helped me straighten out a few bad habits I'd picked up from having lessons elsewhere a year earlier, for example my observations when driving were initially almost non-existent, and the way I did some manoeuvres was more complicated than it needed to be.
When I passed I was so surprised and it didn't really completely sink in until quite well after. I'm really looking forward to being able to just drive to places, because I live outside of Hull, and spend a lot of time on buses, so that will be really cool to suddenly be able to get places much quicker, without worrying about specific bus times. Should you do more than one hour driving lessons?
Research shows that the most effective driving lesson length is one hour and 30 minutes. That's because it's long enough for effective learning without it being too long that the student loses concentration making the driving lesson less effective!
Why do you think football games are just 90 minutes long?
